The Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement:
Lakewide Management and Outreach and Engagement
Webinar on the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement [GLWQA] "Annex 2"
July 8, 2015 at 4 pm EST
John Marsden of Environment Canada and Chris Korleski of EPA’s Great Lakes National Program Office are hosting a binational, basin-wide webinar on lakewide management issues addressed by Annex 2 of the 2012 Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. Public engagement is a key principle of the Agreement.
The open discussion portion of the webinar is intended to give Great Lakes stakeholders an opportunity to suggest and discuss effective and innovative practices that could be used to ensure effective outreach and engagement between governmental entities and Great Lakes stakeholders on issues related to lakewide management.
Why is Annex 2 important? . . . because by 2016 the plan is to 'develop an integrated nearshore framework.'
